Qatar – A redesigned falconry museum for the capital

The royal family of Qatar has been working with Metafilm with its state-of-the-art high-end equipment for years. During this time, recordings of falconry were made all around the world, taken in super-slow motion from a helicopter. These unprecedented recordings were to form part of a multimedia presentation of traditional falconry that was planned by the falconry museum in the Qatari capital of Doha. The museum as a whole was to be redesigned for this purpose.

Project developer Pierre Tirier of Metafilm commissioned NEONRED with developing and implementing the conception. The assignment covered spatial design, production of the interactive furniture, software development and project management on site. NEONRED designed a total of eleven media stations and three media walls to present the content – from the various historical aspects to the individual variants of falconry.
