It all started when the Thomas Cook Group decided it wanted to adapt its own travel agencies to a modern sales concept in the future. This included open discussion zones and various multimedia consulting tools to meet the needs and requirements of its customers.
From initial brainstorming to the implementation of the first pilot store in Hamburg Bramfeld, NEONRED acted as Thomas Cook’s strategic partner in charge of conceptualisation, development and implementation.
The focal point and highlight of our concept is the touchscreen in the shop window of the travel agency, which can be used from outside. This travel inspiration generator developed by NEONRED invites customers and passers-by to browse. It transforms the shop window from a static, passive source of information into a completely new, modern communication tool – a stand-alone app that understands the customers and can respond actively to their needs.
Customer can send the results they find in the travel inspiration generator to a travel agent for further advice. In addition, customers can take their personal list home digitally or transfer it to their own smartphone using a QR scanner.
The software can also be used within the travel agency – in cosy seating areas using an iPad or on another large screen, customers can access the app anywhere and thereby find inspiration in a very relaxed atmosphere.
In implementing the travel inspiration generator, NEONRED made sure that the consulting services of the software and the travel agent work together in harmony. They support and complement each other, thus creating a new consulting and brand experience for Thomas Cook – and that leaves visitors looking forward to their next holiday even more.
